Tragedy Weekly needs writers. We are always looking for someone with a unique way of looking at current events, who is capable of writing in our voice and meeting deadlines.
At the moment we are accepting article pitches from freelancers only. We are mostly looking for writers for our “features” and “editorials” sections. The main difference is that an editorial is solely focused on an opinion or point of view, whereas a feature is an attempt at a more balanced but in depth look at something going on now (lists make good features).
We are currently only able to buy a couple articles a month so don’t be discouraged if your pitch is not chosen.
If you have some ideas that you think would fit into these guidelines please send a short description of your ideas, and a short writing sample, to firstname.lastname@example.org. Make sure to put “Writing Submission” in the the subject line.
